Game of the week

We had a fantastic time at Glo yesterday.

We're still learning how to build our lives on Jesus and that we are made to build and not break. Giving Jesus our best in everything can be a challenge, just like Solomon built the temple using the best materials we need to build our lives using the best materials.

One of the highlights of last night was the singing competition.....what a contest! We recorded a little bit of it so rememeber the crazyness. The YMCA Glo style:

c

Can you see the two Glo leaders leading the line round the hall - Ann Marie and Lynne had definately had their weetabix before they came to Glo and they were going for it.

Next week they are leading the singing competition - can you guess what songs we're gonna be singing? Make sure you have your weetabix before you come!!!

JUMP FOR A DAY

We loved February's Jump for a day and so we had to do it again in April.April's Jump was a fantastic, fun filled day.
It was none stop from 9 till 3. Can you see yourself in the video?

The games were so much fun. Cracking eggs over folks heads, eating chilli, rosemary, coffee (&whatever Lisa could find in her kitchen) chocolate eggs, swallowing cream eggs as fast as possible - there were eggs all over the place.

The football, inflatables, games, crafts were all amazing the the classic Jump cakes went down a treat.

This was one of our best days yet!

Royal Rangers and Lazers

Royal Rangers and Lazers was so much fun on Thursday night. The hall was full of inflatables: Bouncy Boxing, Bouncy Castles and Ball Pool Pit.

It was none stop fun!

The Primary 1 - 3 had a great time jumping in the ball pool pit, hiding under the balls and playing with friends. The bouncy castles were great fun for trying out forward rolls, jumping so high and bouncing into friends. The bouncy boxing was great fun, best out of three won the game - it was non stop all night.

The Primary 4 - 7s were crazy. It was 90 minutes of fun, fun and more fun. The ball pool room was only for the very brave. The balls were flying everywhere, the adults seemed to be the targets and the children didn't give them a break - it was crazy.

GRACE

Were you at Glo this evening?

We had so much fun, the guys that came in still dressed up from Comic Relief were so funny. I loved the Clowns - St Fergus School must of been so much fun today you guys looked great. Kelly I hope you get all the tugs out of your hair - it was crazy!

The first challenge was the cream doughnut challenge - Aimee West you did an amazing job of eating the doughnut - watch the clip and see how fast it disappears.

We've been learning about having a good foundation these last couple of weeks and building our lives on Jesus.

This week we were looking at Grace. We look at different types of grace

A ballet dancer needs grace

Girls are called Grace

We say Grace before we eat

And there's God Grace - God's forgiveness & goodness to us that we don't deserve.

We had a little leaders competition to see what leader was the best, Colin and Tracy went head to head - First challenge Singing, here's Colin.

I think Tracy won the point for the singing - although Colin's singing was unforgettable her version of Dancing Queen was amazing.

Have you ever seen dancing as energetic and enthusiatic as Colin's moves here. We loved it at Glo - can you guess what song it is? You can hardly hear the music for cheering, we were all so excited and Tracy was too busy laughing to dance.

Kung Fu Fighting was the song - good times.

You know although we had a leader challenge this evening we don't go around Glo thinking this is the best leader, 2nd best and so on - all our leaders do a great job and they are all valued.

God doesn't list us all in order from who's best behaved to who's worst. God is a God of love and He loves us all the same, whether we are someone who finds it easy to behave or not. God gives us His grace - His forgiveness and goodness in our lives no matter what we have done, how we've behaved at school. When we believe it Him, live for Him and worship Him God pours out His Grace on us, His goodness even though we don't deserve it .

How Great is our God.

I want to live, I want to fly,

Glo's version of Bob the Builder

We are looking at how we can build our lives on Jesus at K-NL.

To start off Glo at the minute we're having a laugh singing Bob the Builder,

check it out at Glo last week.

We'd great fun.

Royal Rangers Skate Parks

After weeks of designing, building, modelling and painting we finally finished our skate parks last week for our finger skateboards. The boys did a fantastic job, each one was different but all of them were well build and I'm sure they will enjoy playing with them.

GLO - BUILD, BUILD, BUILD

Hi there, did you manage to go to Glo last night. It was so much fun. We're building, building, building just now. Check out the video you can see how fast they managed to build up a tower last night, sadly they all fell down just before the end!

Problem was they didn't have a good foundation, they just built the towers as high as they could. You know we need to build a good foundation in our lives so we can grow up to be great men and women. Jesus is the best foundation we can build into our lives.

Just now we are learning some really important things we can build a great foundation with:

Jesus is the Son of God;

Jesus died on a cross for us;

Jesus loves us all so much;

Jesus wants to be your Saviour.

Do you believe in Jesus, He loves you so much. Have you made Him your foundation to build your life on?

McKenzie won the transfer competition - It looks amazing on your arm. I hope it washed off today!

Next week at Glo we're building on our foundation again, looking forward to seeing you there.

If you're in Primary 7 we have a Glo Trainee Helpers group on Fridays at 4pm. It involves training in being a Glo helper, setting up Glo, given a task during Glo and helping distrubutation any leaflets at 8pm. If you are in Primary 7 and would like to join the group just come along at 4pm, bring £1 for supper and stay through till 8pm - we look forward to seeing you there.

FAMILY EVENING

Did you manage to come along to our family evening on Sunday?
We had a great time building, knocking down towers and throwing bricks at Colin the builder!
Emma and John won the highest building competition, they only took 20 seconds to build that tower!!!! They were fast.
Cameron and Austin told us all about what we learnt at Jump for a day.
Grace, who I think could be Builder Grace, talked about Noah and building our lives on what God says.
It was a really good night, thanks for coming along.

Remember - You are hear to build not break.

JUMP FOR A DAY & K-NECT

We had two fantastic days at Church this week.

It was great to see so many of you at Jump, what a day! It was none stop from beginning to end. Crafts, football, cakes, volleyball, pool, table tennis, PS3, Hama beads, lego and loads more to start with followed by juice and crisps.

After our little snack we heard a little about BUILD, our new theme at K-NL. Throwing the blocks are builder Colin was a hit, I think we'll do that again this Friday. What bit did you like best: the songs, beach ball game, building towers, throwing bricks at Colin or learning about how Jesus came down to earth for each one of us - He died so we could build great lives with God.

After we ate lunch it was time for the inflatables. Gladiator Joust, Assault Course and ball pool pit (we didn't have enough room to get the sumo going then - that happened on Tuesday) What was your favourite one. I loved them all.

By 3pm I think we were all shattered. With our lego block in the bag we went home knowing we are here to build not break.

Kids I hope you had the best day, we certainly had loads of fun!
