MELODY POPS

I hope you enjoyed your holidays. Here at Church i've been getting ready for our new theme and inbetween I have been learning to play the melody pop.

Tesco's is the place to find one. Look to the right>>>>>>>>

I went along to Tesco's on Monday to find out exactly where they were in the shop. You need to find the number 8 aisle, stand at the bottom of the aisle (next to the chewing gum) and walk 14 steps, then stop and turn left. Now you should be looking at the stuff that's in the photo. Count up 4 shelves from the bottom and then you should be looking at the melody pops. Did you find them?

25p each out of Tesco's - i'm thinking that's a great price for a toy.

When Glo starts again this Friday on the 24th of April the competition begins to see who can play a Glo song on the melody pop. If you need a help to get started I've typed in the numbers you need to play 'Tell the World'.
.
Tell the world that Jesus lives, Tell the world that, Tell the world that.
5.....5.....5.......5.....4...5...6......7....7.....7....5.....8.....8.....8........7

Tell the world that He died for them, Tell the world that He lives again.
5.....5.....5......5....5.....4...5....6......7.....7....7......7...8...7..7......6

Can you play it? Try it and see. I did!!

See you on Friday - IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN.....

Tubing

Last night the Royal Rangers went up to Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre. We'd been praying for the weather to be dry, and you know we had the best weather when we were up there, perfect for tubing - Jesus is so faithful. After we arrived at the centre the first group quickly got started tubing whilst everyone else ate their packed lunches. We all had an absolute blast. Although it was hard work running up with the tube, it was so much fun.
There was lots to do when we weren't tubing, the park was great and there was enough footballs for everyone to play.
Everyone agreed it was a fantastic evening, every group enjoyed their time on the slope and there was enough tubes for everyone.
Check out the video.
If you'd like to go up tubing with your family the centres open on a Saturday afternoon - best to phone and book before you go. It's also open for tubing in the afternoons during the easter holidays.

Glo in Ghana and lots more!

After 10 days away to Ghana we arrived home on Wednesday, back in time for all the kids activities this weekend - am so excited.
Many things in Ghana look very different to what we're used to in Scotland. The houses are very basic, you know most homes don't have electricity or taps that you turn to get water from!!!
These children collected the water from the well and have walked over half a mile uphill with these bowls full of water on their heads. Can you imagine doing that everday???
During our time in Ghana the team were able to visit and help out at lots of different places. The first place we stopped at was an Orphanage which had a farm and a school. Here Rachel & Kerri are looking after some of the babies.
These babies had been left in hospital by their parents, the orphanage does a great job looking after the kids

Our next stop was Osenase. There we were helping out in another orphanage, a newly built school as well as helping out on a farm.

Below is a picture of the kitchen in the orphanage - yes they cook all the meals in the this tin building which is falling apart. They really need a new kitchen and hopfully this year we will manage to raise enough money to help them build a new kitchen. Mavis and Sarah, the cooks, told me it's very difficult to cook when it's raining the rain flows in through the bottom and puts out the fire which they cook on.
Below are the children who live at the orphange.
When we were at Osenase we also helped at the school. Sanding blackboards, building computer desks, assembly and lots more.
When the work was finished for the day we enjoyed spending time with the children. Here it's Ghana v Scotland at football. The kids here are playing with no shoes on and they were very good!!! The main reason we went to Ghana was to give out Children's Bibles to children. We visited many schools and kids clubs and over the 10 days gave out over 1,400 Bibles. The children were always delighted when they recevied this amazing book. Some places we went there was only 30 kids and in other places there were over 680!! Glo in Ghana was so much fun. The kids loved the songs, games and learning about Jesus.
Thanks to everyone who was praying for us during our time away, Jesus kept us safe and led us everyday.
Would you like to go and tell people about Jesus in other country when your older? It's possible for everyone of you guys to grow up and go into different parts of the world and spread the news about Jesus - I hope you go and do it one day.

Hello from Ghana.....yes I'm in Africa!!!

I can't believe i've missed another Glo.
Did you enjoy Glo this evening?
Tonight I'm writing this blog from Ghana......yes I'm in West Africa.
So far we've given out over 850 Bibles to children.
For many of these children it is the only book they own. Can you imagine only having 1 book????? But you know something if I was only allowed to choose one book in the whole world it would be the BIBLE. I love God's word - do you?
We've visited 2 orphanges and loads of schools as well as churches.
I'll try to upload some pictures so you can see what we've been up to.
The kids clubs here are very different, most places only have one lightbulb in the church, no glass windows just bricks with holes in them and no cd player or projector to show the words for the songs.
Can you imagine being in our Church with just one light bulb?
Also every now and then you see a bug or a lizard - they lizards run away from me but the bugs are trying to bite.
On Saturday and Sunday we are doing Glo in Ghana, am so excited. There can be up to 500 children there and hopefully not 500 bugs!
Please pray for us.
We want to tell as many boys and girls about Jesus as we can, and pray that they read their Bibles too.
I hope you doing well and have had a great week.
I'll be back to Glo next week and look forward to seeing you all then.

So excited, I'm going to GLO on Friday.

Hi there, I hope you are well.
I have really missed GLO the past two weeks,

Two weeks ago I went to visit some kids in London who love Jesus. Sarah and I flew down the time you guys were at Glo hearing about Jesus and he whats happening in Sefton Village.
I took this photo after Church on Sunday, we went for a little wonder around London. We walked for hours, it was amazing seeing the London Eye and Big Ben, they're massive!! Last week Ann-Marie, Grace, Ann & I were away to a confernce to learn more about Jesus.
We had a great time but we missed Glo and Kung-Fu Panda. We never even sung Tell the World when we away, I think we'll have to do that one on Friday.
I'm so excited this week. I'M GOING TO GLO THIS WEEK.
AM SO, SO, SO, SO, SO, SO EXCITED.
It's going to be good to see you all again. We have so much packed into the programme on Friday it's going to be a great evening.
Does anyone have any songs they'd like to sing?
Well guys I hope to see you Friday

Don't you just love the snow.

Snow is here again, I love it.
Well folks I'm still thinking we'll manage Glo this evening even though the snow is falling just now. I'm so excited - can hardly wait.
Rebecca & Matthew built a great snowman last time the snow came.
It's a whole head taller than them, I wonder how they did that!
If you have enough snow this weekend why don't you build a snowman, take a photo and send it to me to go onto the blog. My email is Lisalyall@btconnect.com
Well Joseph could be getting out of jail this evening - we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Hope your having a great day.
